Sports Buddies ("we", "us") helps you find local people to play sports and recreational activities with. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using Sports Buddies, you agree to this policy.

Information We Collect

Account information — your email address and name, used to create and secure your account.
Profile information — the sports you play, your skill levels, and a profile photo you choose to upload.
Location — approximate or precise location (with your permission) to show nearby players and activities.
App activity — the activities you create or join and how you interact with the app, to provide core features.
Device and notification identifiers — a push notification token, used to send you activity and match notifications.
Purchase information — if you subscribe, your purchase history is processed by our payments partner (RevenueCat / the app store). We do not collect or store your full payment card details.

How We Use Your Information

To operate core features — matching you with nearby players by sport, skill level, and location.
To manage your account, authenticate you, and keep the service secure.
To send you notifications you've enabled.
To provide and manage subscriptions, where applicable.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run the app — including our backend/hosting provider (Convex), our subscription provider (RevenueCat), the app stores (Google Play, Apple), and push-notification delivery services — and only as needed to provide the service or as required by law. Other users see the profile information you choose to make visible (such as your name, photo, sports, and skill level).

Data Retention & Deletion

We keep your information while your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at admin@sportsbuddiesapp.com; we will delete it except where we must retain certain records to comply with the law.

Security

We use industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children's Privacy

Sports Buddies is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region), and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information. To exercise these rights, contact us at admin@sportsbuddiesapp.com.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version here with a new effective date.
